The private TR3 Gallery was founded in 2007 by art collectors and CEEREF owners Mojca and Igor Lah. The gallery is located in one of the skyscrapers on the famous Trg republike (Republic Square). The imposing high-rise building was designed by one of the most prominent Slovenian architects Edvard Ravnikar and is an important example of Yugoslavian modernist architecture. Unofficially, it was called the Iskra skyscraper because it was owned by the Iskra company for a long time. A remnant of this bygone era is the still prominnet and recognisable digital clock at the top of the tower, which is clearly visible from various parts of the city centre and has been a trademark of Ljubljana for almost 50 years.
