2021, computer generated prints/computer graphic
The half-forgotten artistic and cultural movement of historical constructivism acquires a new dimension and relevance in the context of the world of video games in times of the complex, confusing, paradoxical and unbearable nature of contemporary civil tensions, social conflicts and futuristic notions. The ideas that Kosovel and Černigoj embraced in the Slovenian context prove to be timeless and deserve new research and attention. In the spirit of the historical movement two hyper-stylised images of hypothetical promotional material for computer games are looking to the future. The dynamic is created by sharp angles, space-distorting diagonals and colour planes that do not take into account the space on the screen or the world into which the protagonist is placed.
