#172 is part of the ISKRA DELTA Onboarding Soundscapes project - a digital compilation of sound commissions.
Toiret Status aka Isamu Yorichika is a musician who compares his production to excretion, and works with the theme “mizu ni nagasu”, which is a Japanese expression that literally translates to “let flow in the water”. He cooks and eats the materials obtained from sampling and field recording of games he played and movies he watched. Eventually, they are digested into excrement (tracks) and go out of the body (release).
